The Futures Initiative Working Group (FIWG) is a pan-University task force assembled to advise University Leadership about how best to anticipate the many futures we must soon confront. FIWG members hail from each of UVa's 12 Schools, as well as many of its Centers and Institutes.
The aim of the Futures Initiative (FI) is to prepare the University of Virginia for a future in higher education that promises to be radically different in 10 years. Artificial intelligence has already begun to transform the higher-ed landscape, while a host of other technologies (biosensors, quantum computing, internet of things) are at the gates.
